Ask about your business
Claude looks up your invoices, quotes, expenses, bills, vendors, companies, contacts, deals, products and projects, and answers from your Staks records.
Get reports and summaries
Ask for profit and loss, revenue, expenses, taxes, payroll or your sales pipeline for any date range. Claude reads the same reports you see in Staks.
Create documents
Claude can create invoices, quotes, credit notes, expenses, deals, vendors and projects from the conversation. Invoice lines are linked to your catalog items by name.
Send and record payments
Claude can send an invoice, quote or credit note by email and record a payment against an invoice.
Approve what Claude can access
When you connect, Staks shows the permissions Claude is asking for before you allow them. Read and write access are separate, and sensitive data such as salaries has its own permission.
Review and revoke access
Connected apps are listed in Staks under Integrations, with when each was last used. Revoke Claude at any time and its access stops.
How to set it up
Add a custom connector
In Claude Desktop or claude.ai, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
Paste the Staks server URL
Copy the server URL from Integrations → Claude in your Staks workspace, paste it in Claude and keep the settings Claude detects.
Approve access
Claude opens a browser tab. Sign in to Staks, review the permissions and click Allow.
Frequently asked questions
- Which plan includes the Claude integration?
- Connecting Claude over MCP is part of the Scale plan. On Starter and Growth, the Staks Agent inside the app does the same kind of work without an external connection.
- Which Claude apps can connect?
- Claude Desktop and claude.ai, through Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
- Can Claude change my data without permission?
- Claude can only use the permissions you approved when you connected it. Without write permissions it can read your data but cannot create or send anything.
- Which workspace does Claude see?
- Only the workspace you approved when connecting. It does not see other workspaces or other Staks customers’ data.
- How do I disconnect Claude?
- In Staks, open Integrations → Configurations, find Claude under connected apps and revoke it. You can also remove the connector in Claude’s settings.
- Can I connect ChatGPT or Cursor?
- Not yet. Claude is the assistant you can connect today. Support for more MCP clients is planned.
- How is this different from the Staks Agent?
- The Staks Agent works inside Staks and is on every plan. The Claude integration lets you work with your Staks data from Claude, alongside your other conversations.
